Emily Dorio
Emily Dorio is a photographer based in The Southeast, whose work and campaigns have been used globally. Dorio's work focuses on storytelling - eliciting emotions and highlighting the beauty and authenticity of her subjects from portraits to still life.
Her work intentionally focuses on stories that uplift and empower and is known for her unique and artistic approach to capturing moments. Her incorporated studio light evokes ambient light, drawing soft tones, and a sense of intimacy in her photographs. Emily is favorite among subjects for her respectful and gentle approach and is a favorite with clients with her love for collaboration and ability to direct projects large or small. Her commercial works focus on the still life, portraiture, travel and interiors.
Her work has been commissioned by T Magazine, Jo Malone, Ralph Lauren, Harper’s Bazaar, Clarkson Potter, Abrams Books, Domino Magazine, Veranda, Draper James among other household names.
Her personal work is dedicated to the beauty of life and working to reclaim the female gaze.
When not working behind the lens or in her studio, Emily is home with her husband raising twin girls and a son.
